Hungary: How was it named?

 

Earlier, at the time of medieval period the authors named this land as Hungaria, of course that was randomly named. Let me tell you a story of how it is named.

There was a time when the land is blessed with one of the most brilliant chefs whose hands are blessed with the art of influencing others papilla with the magic of their food. These people altogether gather at the center of the land, to have a hearty meal, two times a day.  Apart from this chef, no one really knows how to make food. They are extremely skilled warriors, which have survived so many wars. They used to hunt for their immediate food requirement. And although they have banned that due to the resolution they made to the chefs. The Hungarians gain extra physical combat power by eating food, which provides them stability in ruling the kingdom.

Envied, by the increase in popularity of that area, the neighbor country Austria conducted a secret mission. They knew, in order to win against those warriors, the only way is to weaken them, or get rid of everything that makes them strong. So, they killed all the chefs secretly without anyone witnessing. But people got a clue from an injured chef that those people wore Dark Lederhosen which is normally worn by the Austrians. In response to this ambush, they declared a war against them. 

The Austrians had even destroyed the cropland and all the growing trees with the help of other tribes.  Due to the killing of chefs, the Hungarians kept themselves in absence of food. As per their previous strategy, they tend to attack after 3 days, due to lack of food they planned an overnight strategy, and because of the appetite they have formed it becomes impossible for them to control their hunger. They have already skipped one whole day meal, this has weaken their ability to fight. Due to the resolution, they can’t kill the animals for their need. Then, they planned something very odd yet victorious opportunity.

The army has been divided into two parts: Sacrificial and Hungarians. There is less number of people allotted for Sacrificial, as they are the ones who is going to sacrifice their lives for the predestined victory. Hungarians are the large mass of people that is being selected for the strategy implementation. The next morning battle started, but their was no response from the side of Hungary. The Austrians planned to invade their base camp and proceed for their kingdom. They entered the camp where in each and every camp one person is present but slept badly. The king is puzzled by the situation he is in. He entered in one of the camp, and awakens the person who was lost in his paradise of fantasy. He woke up slothfully.

‘What’s your plan, old man?’

‘Well, our plan is to eat.’

‘You don’t have anything to eat, we have burnt everything in your region.’

‘I am not talking about my region. Your region too offers good food’

‘What???’

‘I would also eat in heaven, can’t say about your situation in hell.’

He took the lantern and burnt the whole tent.

‘Run, Run everyone…..’

The soldiers helped to save the king by sacrificing themselves. The king took breath in the open air outside and then opened his eyes softly and shocked. All the tents are burnt by the Sacrificial Army of Hungaria. They burnt themselves along with our soldiers to Death.

‘Head over to Austria, soldiers. We are trapped. They are heading for our nearest village in Austria for food.’

The Hungarians are the young people and adults whose purpose is to, invade the nearest village in Austria where they can eat and gain energy. When the Austrians headed for the camp, the Hungarian part of army proceeded from behind the mountains while riding in horses.

‘When the Sacrificial army would have done a mass loss of soldiers for Austrian army. At that very point of time, we would stood victorious.’ said the king of Hungaria at the time of planning.

They defeated the Austrian army brutally. 

And due to this they kept the name of this land of hungers as Hungary, in order to hide their unpleasant situation they slightly changed the last letters but the pronunciation remains the same.
